Our history begins in 1938, with the debut of the Armoured Car Division of Mayne Nickless in Melbourne. It was advertised as the “Complete Protection for Your Pay Roll and Cash Delivery” and touted to be a unique solutions “for the first time in Australia and probably the world”.
The Armaguard shield has become synonymous with integrity, security and trust. For more than 86 years we’ve provided secure transport and protection of cash and precious good for major banks, retailers and organisations across almost every part of Australasia.
In 2003, the Linfox Group acquired Armaguard and has since expanded to be Linfox Armaguard Group – a collective of businesses on the forefront of currency management, technology and security throughout the Asia Pacific region.
In 2023 we completed our merger with Prosegur Australia to become the largest CIT business in Australia.
