Role Overview
A Security Supervisor is required for a full-time position at a client site in Mount Isa, with FIFO travel provided from Brisbane. The role involves leading a security team in a busy operational environment while ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, and well-managed. This position demands a professional presence, strong leadership capability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee access control for personnel, vehicles, and visitor movements.
• Undertake both mobile and foot patrols, including inspections of vehicles, bags, and equipment.
• Carry out drug and alcohol screening in alignment with established site procedures.
• Administer and monitor the issuing of access cards, keys, and entry permissions.
• Manage radio communications, coordinate responses to incidents, and support emergency actions when required.
• Provide consistent customer service and maintain awareness of driver and site behaviours.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, activity reports, and incident entries.
Skills & Experience
• QLD Security Licence (minimum: Unarmed Security Officer). Licensing may be funded under a return-of-service agreement for successful applicants.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Valid QLD Driver’s Licence.
• Willingness to complete, or current completion of, HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drug Testing (training costs covered for successful candidates).
• Ability to work across rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Competency with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
• Applicants new to the industry may be eligible for the MSS Security Scholarship Program.
