Position Overview
We are seeking 3 Casual Security Officers to support Woolworths stores in Rosebud and Cowes, Victoria, for New Year’s Eve (31st December 2025). Officers will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for staff and customers while deterring theft and loss. Hourly rates align with Level 1 of the Security Services Award.
Shift Details:
Wednesday, 31st December 2025: 15:00–23:00
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a visible, professional presence at store entrances and points of sale to ensure customer safety.
• Conduct visual surveillance to identify and deter theft, shoplifting, and other suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, supporting staff and emergency procedures.
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and security procedures.
• Provide courteous assistance to staff, customers, and delivery personnel during busy trading periods.
• Complete accurate electronic shift, incident, and compliance reports.
• Liaise with store management, emergency services, and wider security teams as required.
• Uphold core organisational values of integrity, collaboration, community, excellence, and inclusion.
Requirements
• Current Victorian Security Licence (or equivalent in other states/territories).
• Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a diverse team.
• Ability to obtain or maintain additional required checks (e.g., RSA, Working with Children Check).
