This opportunity is open to applicants who do not yet hold a Security Licence. Through our structured scholarship pathway, eligible candidates may be supported to complete the Certificate II in Security Operations, with assistance available for required clearances where applicable. A return-of-service commitment applies.
The Opportunity
We are seeking disciplined, professional individuals to join security operations at a Defence facility. This role operates in a high-trust, high-compliance environment where attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism are essential. The position is particularly well suited to current or former ADF members, though all suitably aligned candidates are encouraged to apply.
You will work as part of a high-performing on-site team, supported by experienced leadership, with access to structured training and development resources.

Key Responsibilities
- Control access to secure areas, ensuring only authorised personnel enter or exit the site
- Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain awareness and deter security risks
- Engage professionally with Defence personnel, contractors, and approved visitors
- Respond effectively to alarms, incidents, and unusual activity
- Maintain compliance with Defence security requirements and site protocols
- Complete accurate reports detailing incidents, observations, and shift activities

- Strong communication skills and situational awareness
- Willingness to undertake required training, licensing, and clearance processes
