Control Room Operator – High Security Facility
Location: Craigieburn, VIC
Roster: Monday to Friday | 0600–1600
Role Overview
An opportunity is available for experienced Control Room Operators to support operations at a high-security government facility in Craigieburn. This role is responsible for the effective coordination of control room activities, real-time monitoring of security systems, incident management, and strict adherence to operational protocols.
The position requires sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a regulated, high-compliance environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage control room operations to ensure continuous site security
- Operate and oversee security technologies including CCTV, alarms, access control, and communications systems
- Respond to incidents and coordinate appropriate emergency actions
- Prepare accurate, detailed incident and operational reports
- Enforce current Standard Operating Procedures and communicate updates as required
- Verify credentials, manage site access, and conduct screening activities
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a security control room environment
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV and electronic access control systems
- High standard of written reporting and documentation
- Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Clear communication skills and a professional, composed approach
Mandatory Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Current Victorian Security Licence with Control Room endorsement
- Certificate III in Security Operations
- Victorian Firearms Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work standard weekday hours as outlined
