A national security services provider is expanding its Defence portfolio in Western Australia and is seeking NV1-cleared Security / Access Control Officers to support high-security Commonwealth facilities across multiple WA locations.
This is an opportunity to work within a regulated Defence environment, offering structured rosters, long-term stability, and pathways for experienced security professionals, veterans, and operational personnel.

- Permanent full-time positions
- Flexible roster options, including:
- 4 days on / 4 days off
- Day-shift only roles
- FIFO options (including 7 on / 7 off from Perth)
- Relieving Officer roles with additional annual allowance (up to $2,500)
- Potential annual earnings up to $90,000, depending on classification, roster, overtime, and operational requirements
- Family-friendly roster configurations available at select sites
Role Overview
You will support Defence Base Security Operations across Western Australia, contributing to the protection of critical infrastructure, personnel, and assets within a controlled environment.
These roles have been created as part of continued contract growth and increased Defence activity across WA.
- Managing physical access control at secure entry points
- Gatehouse and credential-verification duties
- Monitoring CCTV and electronic access systems
- Conducting internal and external patrols
- Identifying, reporting, and escalating security or safety risks
- Incident response and emergency support
- Contractor and delivery management, including dock coordination
- Supporting facilities teams and site occupants
- Accurate completion of incident and hazard reports
- Undertaking additional duties as operationally required
Candidate Profile
You will demonstrate professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to operate within structured command and reporting frameworks.

- Ability to work 12-hour shifts across a 24/7 roster
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- High standards of personal presentation
- Sound judgement and problem-solving ability
- Clear written communication and reporting capability
- Confidence using basic IT systems and reporting tools
- Understanding of escalation protocols and chain of command
Mandatory Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- Current WA Security Licence
- Current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance
- Valid WA Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
Desirable
- Defence Force, policing, custodial, or government security background
- Transferable Commonwealth security clearances
- Experience in high-compliance or critical-infrastructure environments
