About the Role
Wilson Security is seeking skilled and professional Tactical Security Officers to join our expanding team in Kempsey, NSW. These roles play a vital part in maintaining the safety, security, and operational effectiveness of client sites, supporting both day-to-day activities and critical response operations.
This position is well suited to individuals who are proactive, customer-focused, and able to operate effectively in both team-based and independent environments. Full-time shifts are available across weekdays and weekends:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Remuneration
- SSIA Level 5 (pro-rata annualised wage based on 40 hours per week, excluding overtime)
- Day-to-Sunday pay rates apply
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional customer service to visitors, contractors, and clients
- Perform gatehouse and access control duties, including monitoring CCTV and electronic security systems
- Conduct building patrols and actively identify and mitigate security and safety risks
- Report hazards, building faults, and incidents for timely resolution
- Support tenants and facilities teams, including managing contractors and deliveries
- Respond promptly to emergencies and alarm activations
- Undertake ad-hoc operational duties as required
About You
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Flexible for rotational roster including nights, days, and weekends
- Australian citizen or holder of unlimited Australian work rights
- Competent in preparing reports and documenting incidents
- Proficient with computers and security-related systems (Access Control, CCTV, Microsoft Office)
- Physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods
- Crowd Control endorsement highly desirable
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
