University Security Officer – Roving Patrols

About the Position
We are recruiting a proactive and dependable Security Officer to support campus safety at a major university site in Ultimo. This role operates within a fast-paced academic environment and is well suited to individuals who enjoy active work, regular movement, and visible engagement across a large site.
The position is predominantly patrol-based and requires a high level of awareness, physical readiness, and professionalism. You will contribute directly to maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties
- Conduct regular mobile patrols across university grounds and facilities
- Monitor access points and support site access controls
- Respond to incidents and complete clear, accurate reports
- Provide assistance to control room operations when required
- Promote safety and security across all areas of the campus
Candidate Requirements
- Current NSW Security Licence
- Valid First Aid certification
- Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong verbal communication and written reporting capability
- Reliable, team-oriented approach with a proactive work ethic
