Western Sydney Local Health District (our District) is a leader in clinical services, research and education providing a diverse range of public healthcare to more than 1,050,000 residents in Sydney’s west.
Our District is responsible for delivering and managing $2.5 billion in public healthcare across more than 120 suburbs in Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta local government areas (LGAs).
At Western Sydney Local Health District, we are proud to employ close to 14,000 people who work across more than 70 sites, including Westmead, Auburn, Cumberland, Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals, as well as a wide network of integrated care and community-based services.
Each person plays a crucial role in providing high quality, patient-centred care for our diverse and growing community. Our staff represent a 551-person increase from 2023,working together to provide exceptional healthcare services to our community.
Additionally, we have 542 Visiting Medical Officers and 29 Visiting Dental Officers who contribute their expertise to support our hospitals and clinics.
