A major security provider operating across Australia and New Zealand is expanding its footprint in Victoria and is seeking Armed Security Officers to support new and existing client operations. This role contributes directly to the organisation’s response capability, providing support during critical incidents, planned events, and emergency situations.
Role Overview
Full-time positions are available across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, working 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night roster (6:30am–6:30pm or 6:30pm–6:30am).
These roles support a 24/7 operation focused on monitoring, response, and client service in a variety of environments. Experience is not essential, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor CCTV and assist in coordinating responses during incidents or emergencies.
Oversee access control, alarm events, and fire monitoring systems across assigned sites.
Liaise with emergency services, police, and internal operational teams when required.
Maintain accurate records including visitor logs, weapons registers, and incident reports.
Use security software and electronic systems to support monitoring and site compliance.
Deliver professional and courteous customer service to clients and visitors.
Follow organisational procedures and maintain a high standard of safety and conduct.
Skills & Requirements
Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights
Armed Guard endorsement on security licence
Current Category H Handgun Licence
Valid Driver Licence and reliable transport
First Aid and CPR certification
Strong computer competency including email, reporting tools, and MS Office
Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster with 12-hour shifts
Clear communication skills and strong customer service capability
Ability to pass police and background checks

Previous exposure to monitoring, control-room, or response environments
